Want to Join a New Homebrew Club?

We are looking for people who want to start a new homebrewers club in Renton, WA.

 

Maybe you have belonged to clubs in the past and found them missing something. I know I have. Some were just too far away. Others thought the homebrew club ought to be a cigar club too. Some just wanted to constantly battle over internal club politics. The club and its officers were the focus. Of course, not all clubs are like this.

 

The idea behind starting the Renton club is to:

•   get friendly people together who like to brew beer, or would like to learn how

•   grow your knowledge of craft beer, brewing, tasting, judging

•   keep current on legislative issues that affect homebrewers and craft brewers

•   visit breweries and share thoughts on what you drank

•   attend festivals as a group, both in state and out-of-state

•   take road trips both as day trips and overnighters (got an RV?)

•   bring your beer to the meetings to get feedback from others, or just show off

•   be smoke free, at meetings and events

Currently membership is dues-free. Members will be expected to pay any festival fees and foot their own bill on brewery visits,  share costs on road trips, etc.
