Two New Beers Kegged!

As part of the Big Brew Day RAH brewed up two five-gallon batches of quality homebrew. The first was a Maibock - called My Bark - based on the My Oh My Bock recipe from Larry's Brewing Supply. The second was the Honey Nut Brown - called HNB - from Larry's stock brown ale recipe.

The brewing went fine and yielded a nice wort for fermentation. Initial yeast activity continued steadily for seven days and then dropped off significantly. We added priming sugar and moved to kegs where they rested at room temperature for two weeks. I small amount of CO2 was added to remove unwanted air.

The results were deliscious. The initial tapping was a bit on the carbonation-rich side but releasing a little pressure solved that by the second glass. They are very different beers, both complex, and running in the 6-7% ABV range.
